Chill Compete’s for Best Massage in Western Washington

September 8, 2010

Proud to be nominated for the third year in a row (we’ve won top5 spots both years), we are now once again asking our fans to show the love and put us in to the top spot. The competition is tough with large onsite firms and much bigger spas beating us out of the top spots just by the sheer number of clients they treat. But though our numbers may be smaller we know our clients make up for it in loyalty and enthusiasm. So please show the love, vote for Chill!

We’ll see you soon!

Lomi Lomi anyone?

October 26, 2009

Aloha,

I am very excited about the seminar I just went to.  As you may know I studied massage on the beautiful Island of Maui and have been intrigued with the massage style of Lomi Lomi ever since. This last worksop was a Lomi Lomi intensive and I gained a ton of fun and effective massage tools to share with you. The Hawaiian style of massage comes with it’s own vocabulary that is sometimes funny, often times poetic, but always descriptive. The intention of Lomilomi is to reconnect an individual with the self, emotions, ancestors and the universe. I feel very lucky to be able to learn this graceful style of massage.  It wasn’t until 1973 that this tradition was openned to the outside world by Aunty Margaret Machado.  She began to teach this traditional Hawaiian method of healing to many who had a sincere desire to learn.  So come in and find out what it feels like to have your “Wings Fluffed” and the “Mother Opened” . I look forward to seeing you and finding out how my new skills can help you.

First Blog Ever

September 18, 2009

This has been a great summer here, in West Seattle.  The weather was so wonderful, that with just a little inspiration from the Boss herself  I pushed myself to get back into running more regularly.  I ran my first half-marathon the beginning of September with Nicole, my good buddy Jill and D.  They were great company and motivation .  I have some embarrassing post-race photos I will try and share with you.  I am looking forward to trying it again in the next few months.

And as you may know we all love our dogs at Chill Massage Therapy.  These are my three lovely boxers.  They are the best dogs ever.
